After reviewing many dental offices, I opted to choose this company. After two trips, 14 miles one way, I was rejected.

I have been suffering from an abscess for a week, to the point where my face was swollen. The first visit for that day, I was told that I was being worked in to have my tooth extracted. When I was told that, I left to go get someone to drive me there after the prospective procedure When I got there the second time, the dentist actually came out and told me she was not comfortable with doing any dental work on me because I have a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. I have never in my life been so shocked by a dentist before . My infection was so bad, I had gone to the emergency room twice, received a 900 mg injection of antibiotics, and two prescriptions, and my abscess was still enlarged. I would expect a dentist to understand the seriousness of dental infections, especially after being given all detailed information regarding the emergency room visits and the amount of antibiotics I was taking. Because she left me high and dry, I had to doctor on my own gum, using homeopathic remedies to get the swelling down.

I know of dogs who are treated better. I would've expected search treatment from a Low income-based dentist. Not that that makes it right. Additionally, the dentist told me "plus it's a Friday". Like that is any excuse to be dismissive towards someone. If I would have known that I would have been kicked to the curb, I would not have driven to the office two times, driving over 35 miles.

I expected better than this. But maybe that is my fault, for having expectations. It is places like this that can cause one to maintain a "guilty until proven innocent" mentality.

I am just glad that the infection did not go to my bloodstream. Things could've ended up much much worse.

My suggestions, don't go on a Friday even though THEY schedule the appointment. Lie about any health issues you have . Because if you were truthful, they will just treat you like a leper. Find a dentist who claims to have been practicing for over 20 years who is not afraid of health. And lastly, just go somewhere else.

. Would have preferred to have more direct contact with Dr. Akbar. You go to the Dentist to see the Dentist...not the Assistants...otherwise, friendly and courteous...

I was very nervous about getting dental treatment but everyone in Dr. Akbar's office put me at ease. They are all skilled professionals with great bedside manner. I will recommend RA Dental Studio to everyone I know.
