For the last 15 years, Drake Auto has been performing quality auto repairs and stocking a competitively priced selection of tires. Since our humble beginnings, we have grown to acquire a loyal base of returning customers. We have done this through quality workmanship and friendly service. We look forward to building equally rewarding relationships with new customers.
Originally known as 'The Auto Shop,' Drake Auto was founded by the Epstein family in 2002 and has been independently owned in Sterling, VA since. With the owners on site, you can rest assured your vehicle will be repaired correctly. We are proud members of the Better Business Bureau and the Independent Automobile Technicians Network as well as local car clubs. Most of our customers are referrals and all work is guaranteed to be done to your satisfaction.

Very Clean facility with nice people. My problem was that my tires are max 50 psi. I left for a long drive north of 4 hours, and the car wasn't handling well. It was only the next day that I realized that my tires were deflated to 29 psi. They are not stock tires.
Drake Auto Repair replied:
I have talked with this customer. Their tires were overinflated causing premature tire ware and poor handling. This car is a Mazda Miata which is a very small car. The tires have a specific tire pressure that is written inside the drivers door. The max tire pressure is from the tire manufacturer stating the max pressure with a full load that the tire is designed to carry. This car manufacturer recognizes the max load vs the actual load this car puts on the tire and comes up with a tire pressure for this exact car. I put the tires at the manufacturer recommended tire pressure. So I am assuming if I overinflated the tire to 50 psi that the customer has put in there and they got in an accident due to the tires not performing properly then it I would have been at fault also. Interesting world we have. :)
