I brought my cat in to have a bath and a sanitary cut, making my appointment was a bit difficult, mainly because the first time I called I was told that I would need to wait until I was called back because the original person I spoke with didn't know the schedule of the groomer which I was okay with but I never received a call back so I called the next day and made an appointment. I took my cat in for her appointment and when I arrived I wasn't greeted by anyone as the resort was very busy with daycare intake, understandable, but when I checked in my cats appointment wasn't in the schedule. Luckily thengroomer was there and an employee took her back. The groomer came out and was great. She was very sweet and asked me how short I'd like my cats lion cut to be. I wasn't wanting a lion cut so I was glad she came out to ask. I was signing the estimate for and noticed there was a charge for sedation, anesthesia AND a "narcotic injection". I was aware she may need to be sedated but I was curious about the other two so I asked and they had a veterinarian come out to discuss this. This was where my experience went very poorly. The veterinarian wasn't too pleased to be answering my questions, I could tell by her attitude. She said the anesthesia and narcotic injection were a mistake and proceeded to say " if it were up to me I would put all cats under for all procedures since they are so difficult". I felt this was unnecessary to be said. I don't want a veterinarian taking care of my cat if there's an emergency if she doesn't care about cats very much. I'd like to take my cat somewhere that i know she will be treated the same as any animal. I have taken two of my other cats there many times for surgeries and check ups and was very pleased with the other veterinarians but won't be taking them to the woman I spoke with. She didn't give me her name unfortunately and I was flustered so I didn't think to ask. I was disappointed in my experience but I love the other people I have taken them to before so I will continue to as long as I don't have to take them to that specific woman. I hope my appointment time can be matched to the woman's schedule so she can be spoken to about her conduct. I hope my next experience is better!

My dog came bag with the worst limp I have ever seen. He was also parched and starving. I was trying to call to find out what happened, because all I kept hearing was that everything was fine, but no one picked up the phone for 5 hours.

I am never coming back.

I really loved Dr. Christina Branshaw. She helped my doggie so much! I just wish I could have gotten a handout about what to look out for and after care instructions. But overall I was very impressed and happy with my dog's outcome

This was the first time we have left our dog anywhere. He stayed at Dr. Boyd's for 5 nights, and he LOVED every minute! We loved the fact that there was someone at the facility 24 hours to make sure he was ok. They also posted daily pictures and you could see how much fun he was having. He's been home for 2 days now and is still tired! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little baby!

My pup was able to play, get his vaccines, and a full grooming with the wonderful groomer! The entire staff was friendly and knew us when we came in. We love Dr Boyd's and will tell everyone we know!

The staff including front desk, the Dr's, vet techs are always helpful, efficient and informative. The Dr.'s always provide all of the information needed in order to make the best decision for Winston's health care. Steve has dealt with Winston on several occasions for the last few years and has always answered all of our questions & concerns.

Our dog is very bouncy and rambunctious. She loves people and other dogs to distraction. We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Boyd's. We board our dog there frequently and she always comes home tired and happy as a clam. All the outdoor play time is just wonderful. The people that work there are so friendly, warm, and positive. They seem to really enjoy being there and are very helpful and efficient. Having the pictures online is great - so fun to find your own dog and see all the other wonderful dogs that are in the play yard.

My fur-Baby Phoebe loves going to "Puppy Camp" doggy day care at Dr Boyd's Pet Resort and I love the one-stop-shopping experience! It's great to know my dog is cared for in a safe setting, a veterinarian is on site for shots or if an emergency arises, and the groomer is FABULOUS! Dr. Boyd's Pet Resort is my idea of the best all-around, one stop shop, pet care in San Diego!

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Boyds for the past few years to board when we go on vacation and for the occasional bubble bath. He always comes back so clean and fresh smelling and it last for weeks. We recently made an appointment for a bubble bath and we dropped him off. Five minutes later they called to say his vaccines were not up to date and we would need to take care of those first. Unfortunately since the vet had just left we would have to come back from home and pick him up and make an appointment for another day. We brought him back the next day and they took care of everything. They did not really offer an explanation as to why they did not check his chart when I made the first appointment and later when I dropped him off. They have always taken good care of him, but they need to do a better job training their front desk staff so as not to inconvenience their loyal customers. Thank you

They do great work and the prices seem reasonable. Entire staff has always been very friendly. Nice and clean office with plenty of parking. They even have movies you can watch during the cleanings. I've had bad luck with other dentists in the past and this is the only Dentist I will use from here on ..
