My annual visit was AMAZING, as always. The staff was friendly, the service was efficient, and my entire family was taken care of. Heather was amazing and made me feel comfortable about picking out my new frames, which is a major plus!
The issue I had was when I arrived to pick up my glasses. I was taken back when my new glasses were given to me at the counter as you leave the waiting room without a mirror to see myself or someone competent to be sure they were adjusted correctly for my face and the new lenses did not have any issues. My concerns about the wavy vision I had with the new lenses were very quickly dismissed by the clerk who broadcast across the front desk, “ She’s seeing wavy y’all!” A woman came around the counter and checked the written old and new scripts and told me “They’re basically the same. It’s probably because the new lenses are bigger. You’ll get used to it.” I’ve worn glasses since I was 2 years old. This was the most unprofessional fitting I’ve had since 1976. If I wanted a “probable” guess at the correct fit and function of my eyewear I would buy grab bag glasses from Amazon and get the added benefit of 2 day delivery to my house.
I had also requested new lenses in my sunglasses and that was a whole new issue that left me frustrated. Apparently, if Heather is busy you’re sunk, as no one else can interpret a transaction history.
I am hopeful it was just an off day and things will be different when I return to get the new lenses for my sunglasses. I left really confused by my experience because that is just not how they have been on the past. My family has done business with Colletto Eyecare for several years and this is a first.
