Prescription sunglasses originally ordered in November 2016 were delivered with distorted lenses, making them unusable. Over the course of the last year, I have made countless trips back to the office for adjustments, re-dos, excuses, adjustments to prescription, changes of frames (making me give up on the frames I actually wanted). Nothing fixed the problem and I wasted time, miles and fuel driving back and forth and had to take time off work to deal with this without any resolution. I finally took the glasses to an independent lab for examination and they verified there was measurable distortion in the lenses. At that time it was discovered that the frames were also broken. I was present during the lab exam of the frames and am sure it did not happen with the lab technician, and I know it didn't happen with me because the wretched things never came out of the case until then. I do recall a loud "snap" when Stacey was adjusting them and at that time she made a grimace. However I did not immediately see that the spot weld had broken and she didn't mention it. I was so upset that the distortion problem wasn't fixed that I took the case with the glasses and left the office without paying much attention to them until the independent lab technician pointed out the break. Now I have lost my 2016 benefit, am out of pocket over $200, cannot even use the frames I paid for with another set of lenses made by someone more competent, and I STILL DO NOT HAVE A SPARE SET OF SUNGLASSES. Also, I developed an eye infection after one exam there, was given conflicting quotes on the initial price of the glasses, and was made to feel like something was wrong with me for not being able use distorted glasses. I also have questions about the material that was used. I have always requested and paid for high index. Another optometry office believes the material is not high index, but polycarbonate, which they said does sometimes have problems with distortion. The store is very pretty, but that hardly counts for anything if all you are going to do is rip people off. My last communication with them it was made clear they feel they've done "everything they can" and they are not willing to simply take back the defective product and refund my money. I've had many successful pairs of glasses from Gary Gold & Associates, over quite a number of years. What in the world has gone wrong with them? In retrospect I now see that I should have just loudly demanded a refund at the beginning and gone elsewhere. But you hate to end a relationship with a place you've been doing business with successfully for a number of years. Too bad. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there now.

My visit was very informative, Dr was wonderful and very pleasant.

They were able to detect floaters in my eye that no other physician that I've been to every told me.

If you need a annual examine I highly recommend Dr Gold and associates.. a must.
