Dr. Kious has been practicing family medicine in the North Dallas area for over 11 years. She opened Kious Family Medicine 8 years ago with a vision of providing comprehensive care for patients and their families. She strives to maintain a comfortable and caring environment while providing high quality medical care.
Dr. Kouis' goal of focusing on treating the patient as person rather than just a disease has won her praise from many of her patients. Whether it is a simple cold or complex problems such as diabetes or heart disease you can rest assured that Dr. Kious will provide excellent care and give you her full attention.
Preventive care is also a strong focus at Kious Family Medicine, whether it is a yearly pap-smear, monitoring of your cholesterol, or keeping patients healthy and catching problems early, all of which is a benefit to both patient and doctor.
Both Dr. Kious and her staff are fluent in spanish.
Dr. Kious grew up near Santa Fe, New Mexico, and attended medical school at the University of New Mexico. She went on to get her specialty training in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She is board certified through the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Kious lives in Plano with her husband and two children.
When not working, Dr. Kious enjoys spending time with family, doing arts and crafts and baking.
