The staff was nice, but the dentist was rather cold. Dr. Shu Ping Rong did the cleaning and walked away without so much as saying "Have a great New Year." I had a 3:00 appointment and as I was leaving my house, the dentist's office called at 2:35 to see whether I could come earlier. Nevertheless, I was still kept waiting for over half an hour before the dentist would see me. She even took another patient who came in after me. She and her staff tried to pressure me to get an x-ray even though I'd had one in April for a dental cleaning elsewhere. Two of my French-Canadian cousins are dentists, thus don't try to tell me that I need an x-ray six months after the first one. Moreover, all I needed was a cleaning, thus the x-ray is not necessary other than to jack up the fees which they will attempt to wrestle from my insurance company. I find this practice of dentists like Dr. Shu Ping Rong to be highly unethical.
Dr Rong and our staff ALWAYS keep high standards and ethics when it comes to providing BEST possible dental services to each and every patient that comes into our office. When you presented to our office as a new patient, you insisted on getting only cleaning but failed to provide a copy of the most recent radiography,x rays. As a professional dental care provider, we have the responsibility to inform you that x-rays are necessary for complete and thorough oral examinations along with clinical exam. We have informed and explained to you that we are not responsible for any oral problems that can be seen only on x-ray because you refused to take x-ray and refused to provide a copy of previous ones. You are a new patient in our dental office and we need to have x rays in order for Dr Rong to see situtation. Six months is a long time and anything can happen during this time and only way to find out situation is by taking the digital x rays. Just fyi.. the patient that we saw before you was emergency patient.
