Dr. Wilkerson graduated from Emory University (B.S.) and the University of Florida, College of Dentistry (D.M.D.), where he completed a research mentorship under Dr. Parker Mahan, world renowned authority on facial pain/TMJ disorders. He then joined the practice of Dr.s Dawson, Roach, and DuPont, in 1982.
Having treated several thousand people for various bite problems, Dr. Wilkerson's expertise has led him to be an extremely popular educator and leader in Dentistry. He has trained over 4,000 dentists through hands-on workshops. He served in 2010-2011 as President of the American Equilibration Society, the leading organization in the world for the study of dental occlusion (bite) and Temporomandibular Disorders.
Dr. Wilkerson's work emphasizes restorative and esthetic(cosmetic) procedures. He loves doing "extreme makeovers," as well as simpler smile enhancement procedures. A perfectionist, he is meticulously dedicated to both the art and science of making people smile!
As well as a featured speaker for major dental meetings around the United States and beyond, Dr. Wilkerson serves as senior lecturer at the Dawson Academy, Adjunct Professor at UF's College of Dentistry, and has served as Associate Faculty for the L.D. Pankey Institute. He is an active member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Christian Medical/Dental Association. He has been honored by his peers as "One of America's Top Dentists" and "One of America's Top Educators." He has been chosen as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Wilkerson appreciates the importance of living a balanced life. Among his greatest blessings are his faith, his family, his sweetheart and wife Pat, his three children, Todd, Whitney and Ryan, his wonderful patient relationships, and the opportunity to serve others through dental mission's trips to Africa and Romania.
Dr. Glenn DuPont
A 1979 graduate of Emory University, College of Dentistry, Dr. DuPont joined the prestigious practice of Dr. Peter Dawson and Dr. Pete Roach in St. Petersburg that same year. Starting out assisting in the lab, his talent for sculpting was quickly recognized by Dr. Dawson and soon he was shadowing him throughout the day. This early exposure to how Dr. Dawson addressed his patients' problems became the foundation for his own personal, interactive style with patients. From those early days through to today, Dr. DuPont's passion for developing comprehensive treatment plans for challenging cases, his delivery of compassionate patient care and his dedication to both esthetic and functional excellence have resulted in hundreds and hundreds of success stories.
Dr. DuPont was a founding member of the Center for Advanced Dental Studies, now known as The Dawson Academy, and his eagerness to share his extensive experience and knowledge in solving difficult dental problems has led him to teach both large and small hands-on courses at The Academy. Dr. DuPont, as Senior Lecturer for The Dawson Academy, is also a featured speaker on both the national and international lecture circuit.
His numerous professional and academic affiliations include serving as an Affiliated Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida's College of Dentistry. Dr. DuPont has served as past president of the Pinellas County Dental Association and has taught at the L.D. Pankey Institute for many years. Honored by his peers as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, Dr. DuPont was also selected as "One of America's Top Dentists."
Dr. DuPont counts among his greatest blessings, his wife Janet, their four daughters, Erin, Kristen, Catherine and Lauren; three grandchildren; sons-in-law, and many wonderful patients, friends and associates.
