Our family was hesitant to put our old dog (almost 14) through anything requiring anesthesia at this point in his life. However, Ranger needed some extensive dental work due to swollen gums and this could no longer be ignored. We tried a dog dental provider for cleaning without anesthesia but Ranger, still feisty, would not let her near his mouth. Finally we took the plunge with full service dental work at EBVC. A reason we chose this clinic was that it's walking distance from our house. The veterinarian was familiar with his specific condition (which the other provider was not) and suggested that we opt for an extensive lab work up before surgery. It turned out that he is healthy enough for anesthesia and he had the procedure this week, which included having a couple of non problematic small growths removed at the same time. He came through the surgery with flying colors and 24 hours, is almost back to normal. The doctor was kind and gentle and the practice was very busy the day we were served so we feel lucky to have gotten an appointment a week after calling to set it up. The office staff was attentive despite being quite busy with multiple patients. Also convenient was that Ranger's exam and bloodworm took place the same day as his surgery so only one visit. The price was competitive, and I recommend EBVC for dental cleaning and dental surgery.
