Everyone who I spoke with at East Bay Vet was very nice and helpful. They knew how to deal with and treat my dog. However, I think they need to improve on their communication skills between their staff and make things clearer with the client. I had made my appointment over the phone for a dental cleaning for my dog. When I arrived for the appointment, they asked if I had received a line item estimate (which I hadn't) and said that I should have looked at that before arriving. My dog also had to receive several vaccinations after her teeth cleaning and they informed me that they may or may not do the vaccinations because it might be too much for her, given she had to go under anesthesia for the teeth cleaning. However, they did not mention it at all until I asked at the last minute when I came to pick my dog up (BTW, I had to be the one to call to ask when I could pick up my dog). The front desk staff also wasn't aware of what was going on with my dog in the back, even though she was the vet tech that I had originally dropped my dog off with. The office just seemed really busy and they seemed to be handing pets off and not really aware of what was going on. I received generally good service and from what I can tell, they do a good job with my dog. But they didn't make it easy for me to find out what was going on and didn't seem to follow through on communication they said was going to happen.
