When Dixie woke up completely disoriented and unable to walk, my brother-in-law tried to get her in to see her regular vet in Meridian but they were booked full. I suggested that, despite the great distance, he try Eastgate because my family has been so happy with their care of our pets. Although it was short notice, they were able to squeeze her in and it was the best, lowest-stress appointment she's ever had. A big part of that was the gentleness of everyone who examined her and the fact that they clipped all her nails without nicking her (whereas her other vet experiences have ALWAYS resulted in multiple bloody toes). She was very at ease and is feeling much better today. Also appreciated Dr. G's follow-up call to discuss blood test results. Even though it's a long drive from Meridian, it's worth it!
I took my dog to Eastgate to get her city license while there Dr Gilmore performed a wellness test and caught Coco up on her vaccinations. Both the doctor and his staff worked to make it a comfortable experience for her. I learned a few new and valuable issues about dog care. Yes, I will use Eastgate for veterinary care.
Mitzi's appointment yesterday went very, very well. Both Dr. Gilmore and Julie were wonderful in their evaluation of Mitzi. I want to say that Julie is absolutely exceptional with her manner and understanding of animals. My Mitzi cat is not accepting of changing situations, but Julie totally changed Mitzi's attitude with her understanding actions and mannerisms, thereby creating a very positive comfort level for Mitzi.
