Had no idea it was possible. I went in for a crown expecting the usually...shape the tooth, take a mold of it, make a temporary crown and wait 2 weeks to get the real crown. Not with Dr Gaud. After shaping the tooth, he pulled out a camera gizmo and took a picture of the shaped crown base tooth, the opposing tooth and the bite. Then the computer design program took over and in 10 minutes he was holding the new crown. Amazing. He then fitted the new crown for proper bite. Subsequently, the new crown did have to be baked for 40 minutes while I waited to bring it to its finished hardness. Then it was cemented on and I walked out the door ready to eat. Still amazed. BTW, no pain during the whole process.
