Yes, don't waste your money on this place. Don't buy groupons or whatever deals they may be having. We dropped by today with my Mom who happens to be celebrating her birthday and was turned away! That's right, they did not honor our special promotions certificates ($40 for a service worth $90). The receptionist claimed that we should have called and made an appointment, BUT it says on the certificate "appointment not required". NEVERTHELESS, my sister did call the salon many many many times beforehand to make an appointment just to make sure that they would take us in since there was going to be 5 of us. They kept insisting that she didn't need to make one, that to "just show up." And so we all excitedly went there, eager to treat our Mom to this surprise only to be embarrassed! RIGHT, they wouldn't even take my Mom alone! Claimed they are so busy (Friday 2pm) when indeed the place was so quiet. I have no words for this kind of customer service! I am extremely disappointed! I felt so bad for my Mom us dragging her all the way there for that?!? I would give below one star if I could. Also, I agree with the other reviewer, shame on AVEDA for partnering with this place!
