I've been with Engine Works since Eric was on the corner of Clement and Oak St.(plus 20 yrs). Eric and his staff have always taken of my vehicles(esp. my 86 Toyota 4x4) with great care and timely return. Vince and Remmie have always been great resources to any vehicle questions and concerns, too.

I have been using Engine Works for over 30 years. Eric, the owner, is a genius diagnostician. Always excellent service and reasonable prices. Yesterday I had my rear license plate stolen. I was very upset with how to drive my car anywhere without a license plate!! Went to the local AAA office who could give me new plates but somehow my March smog test results were not in DMV records. I got a statement from aaa that I had one day to drive my car to get it smogged. I called Engine Works, went over there, and got smog cert was done within 5 minutes!! They have always serviced my 2006 Lexus suv. No more trips to the Lexus service center!!

I was disappointed when I picked my vehicle, on the invoice it reported the windshield fluid container was broken and the air filter was very dirty. Neither of these issue were brought to my attention before I picked up the car or after I picked it up. I noticed the issues and asked Vince for clarity. He was unable to obtain further information about the broken washer fluid container. Vince did look at the air filter and noted it was not as dirty as it was noted, and I concurred with this. I've had a very dirty air filter in a previous car and this was far from being "extremely" dirty.

My main issue is now I have to find the time to bring the car back to Engine Works to have the issue addressed about the washer fluid container being broken. If it was broken and I had no fluid I would have a warning message show up on the car control panel. Vince did inform me the tire would have to be removed in order to access the washer reservoir, which means putting the car on the rack and incurring an additional cost for this as opposed to addressing the issue from the beginning.

Perhaps this is a minor issue, but if it's listed as "broken", it needs attention.
