I went to get my eyes checked last December and learned I needed glasses for the first time. I was asked if I wanted contacts, which as a first time glasses wearing had no idea. My prescription isn’t minimal as well. As being new to wearing glasses it would have been nice to have someone help break down the process more, instead I felt rushed out with my head spinning of how next to proceed. No one took the time to explain the process of getting contacts. No one in my family wears contacts, and my general knowledge of them are minimal.
To get contacts when I called I was told I had to come back in get my eyes checked again and then practice putting them in and taking them out before I would be able to leave with a sample. I was not told how long this appointment might take. Also it would have been helpful if they could better advise how much the daily wear vs the extended would cost.
