At a friend's recommendation, I was concerned about my 14-year-old Hunka-Luv Homer and took him to Dr. Carter for a checkup. Dr. Carter suggested a teeth cleaning to check out the concern she had about a mass in his mouth. Thankfully, the biopsy was benign, and Homer's back to normal with clean teeth. The staff at Especially Cats were very attentive to my cat as well as to my concerns. Now, all I have to do is take my other two in for checkups. I believe my cat enjoyed his time there with all the attention he received from everyone. I recommend Especially Cats for excellent care for your cat!

Great experience as always! My cat Bentley came down with a bad respiratory infection and needed to be seen asap. They squeezed me in for an appointment within a few hours and we were seen right away. Dr. Buttar was great with Bentley (who can be a somewhat difficult patient) and he got a thorough exam and antibiotics and we were on our way home. The vet is never a fun experience for most cats (and cat owners) but Especially Cats makes our visits as quick and painless as possible.

Nothing could have been better. Rusty was comfortable. Dr. Carter has a way with cats. Coco and Rusty did not make a stink about being there. Trips to this vet are a breeze. Everyone is happy with healthy kitties! (The bill didn't break the bank either!)

I love Dr. Carter. She is so caring. She takes the time and doesn't rush you and even call's to see how my Precious is doing. I only wish that my doctor cared about me like she cares about my Precious.

Happy with first time visit. The vet did a very thorough exam of my kitten and his assistant was very nice as well. All staff were welcoming. Check out was easy and got the meds for my cat's claw problem right away. Based on first impressions i would recommend this vet to friends :)

I have been going to Especially Cats for many years because they are, first and foremost, Just For Cats. Dr. Buttar is an excellent vet! He takes his time and is so gentle with both of my cats. He also is very personable and talks to me about everything that my cats need or don't need and what can be done to help them live a long and healthy life. In my opinion, Especially Cats is THE BEST VETERINARY HOSPITAL in the Bay Area, hands down!
