I always prefer to take my car to Evans Tire. I've always used this location on Convoy and even though I live in Chula Vista now I still prefer to go to the Convoy location. Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. The person who fretted me amd took my information had very poor customer service. He talked very quietly and I kept having to ask him to repeat what he was saying and he made little eye contact with me. After he got all of my information he just said "okay we will get it taken care of." Didn't ask if I was staying or check if he had my right contact number in case I wasn't going to stick around, which I wasn't. They took my car in right away so I didn't think it would be too long but I still left. 3 hours passes and I still hadn't heard anything so I decided to call and was told "oh yea, it's done." So no one bothered to call and tell me it was ready for pick up. I get there and another gentlemen grabbed my keys and noticed there was something else along with them. He told me that there was a piece to the A/C compressor clutch (something along those lines) that was detached and had a screw missing. They basically told me that my a/c won't work without it and maybe I can try calling my dealership about it. They noticed the piece as soon as they opened up my hood, so I'm not sure why they didn't tell me right away so that I could have made arrangements with the dealership to get fixed that day. So the gentlemen that helped when I got there helped to check me out. He decided to make a phone call as soon as he started helping me so the whole transaction was done without him communicating with me. I couldn't remember what the piece to my car was called so I had to wait for him to get off the the phone to ask him and when I did he seemed unsure that he was giving me the right answer. I've never experienced such horrible customer service at Evans and I don't normally care about the customer service but I've also never experienced it being bad. I don't plan on coming back to this location. Such a simple service shouldn't be such a bad experience.
