Being a licensed cosmetologist, I was really unimpressed with the service I received from Oceana, the salon was nice but I didn’t enjoy my experience. I don’t like to write negative reviews but I think it will lose her business if she doesn’t provide decent customer service.
When she came up to greet me, she didn’t look me in the eyes once, barely shook my hand and then started walking away.
She brought me to the chair and didn’t say anything so I started telling her how dry my hair was and what I’ve been doing to it to make it that way . She brushed through it a lot and said a condition treatment was what I needed.
She brought me to the bowl for conditioning treatment, I had booked an appointment for the botanical treatment but while I was in the chair she started putting stuff on my head and I asked if it was an Aveda product to start conversation because I was curious and she told me it was all Olaplex. I was confused as to why I didn’t receive the botanical treatment I had booked.
She then put a hot towel on my head said it would be about 10 min for this part and walked away.
During the entire treatment she didn’t ask me one time if I was comfortable or if I needed anything, she grabbed her phone and went into the mixing room for the entire duration.
I would’ve asked her that I would’ve liked my hot tea and my cell phone I had left at her station.
I wasn’t impressed and I feel like I received bare minimum service.
I am happy though that my first appt was $20 off . So I’m not as upset as I would have been.
I booked an appt her due to the good reviews on yelp but I wouldn’t be Oceana’s client again.
