About
Eye Care Associates has been providing vision care in Wichita for over 60 years. The practice was founded by Dr. Lewis Smith, and later Dr. Phillip Ernzen joined him. Dr. Smith retired in 1996 and Dr. Ernzen in 2008. Dr. Hawk also retired in 2015 after 24 years of practice. Comprehensive vision care is now provided by Dr. Thomas McCarthy, Dr. Jason Eubank, Dr. Bret Wise, Dr. Dustin Martin and Dr. Ryan McCarthy.
The central location of our practice (north of Kellogg, on Hillside) allows convenient access from east and west Wichita and surrounding areas. We are also located in northwest Wichita at 37th & Maize Rd. We are dedicated to serving our patients with the highest quality of vision care. We stay on the forefront of eye care technology with the latest instrumentation and continuing education for our doctors and staff.

I have been going to Dr McCarthy for many years now. I am always pleased with his thorough exams, and his patience to explain what is relative to my eye health. Also, I appreciate hiis honest advice on upgrading my prescription or not. The office is always very clean and neat. There is very little wait time for my appointment.

I think maybe my toddler had snatched my glasses off a time too many; my frames ended up twisted so badly, the damn lense fell out. Vinny took care of me right away. He is smooth as silk, and makes me wanna grow my jheri curl out... You know, the kind of guy that makes you want to break your glasses every so often just to say "what's up!" And the ladies at the front desk were blurry, but helpful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
