I didn't appreciate being pressured to have eyes dialated when they had been done annually the last three years with healthy results. I verbally expressed my desire to NOT have this done to two different people. It was done anyway. It took 6 hours to regain my ability to focus. A waste of the rest of my day.
Falcon Family Eye Care replied:
As we never desire to inconvenience our patients, it is standard practice for us to do some form of back of eye check at the first exam scheduled as to rule out new retinal issues that could have formed within the last year. We consider ourselves primary eye care doctors, not just an office that prescribes glasses and we always want to provide the best care for our patients. Because of this policy we have diagnosed two brain tumors, one melanoma, a stroke and sickle cell within the last year for our patients. Again, so sorry for the inconvenience, but we will continue to enforce policies for best care at our office.
