I have never had a bad experience at Fisher Martin Auto. The service is prompt, the mechanics explain and show the problem, there are no hidden costs, and the mechanic work is flawless. Two weeks after moving to Ventura from mid-town LA in 2002, I noticed an evil sound in my '87 Crown Vic's engine. I followed a local friend's recommendation and drove to Fisher/Martin the next morning, knocking all the way. When I received a call in the p.m. that my aging vehicle was ready, I returned, fully expecting a $300-600 repair bill - which I wouldn't have questioned, given that my knowledge of vehicles is limited to: the key turns on the engine, which makes the car go. I was shocked - and thrilled, since I was unemployed at the time - to pay for a replacement fan belt and installation labor. Needless to say, I have returned again and again to Fisher/Martin for everything from oil change, windshield wipers, and transmission fluids - to being towed in when the starter caught fire. Both Gary and Jeff Martin are good guys, and I highly recommended them as both knowledgeable mechanics and thoughtful human beings.
