Two weeks after moving to Ventura from mid-town LA in 2002, I noticed an evil sound in my '87 Crown Vic's engine. I followed a local friend's recommendation and drove to Fisher/Martin the next morning, knocking all the way. When I received a call in the p.m. that my aging vehicle was ready, I returned, fully expecting a $300-600 repair bill - which I wouldn't have questioned, given that my knowledge of vehicles is limited to: the key turns on the engine, which makes the car go. I was shocked - and thrilled, since I was unemployed at the time - to pay for a replacement fan belt and installation labor. Needless to say, I have returned again and again to Fisher/Martin for everything from oil change, windshield wipers, and transmission fluids - to being towed in when the starter caught fire. Both Gary and Jeff Martin are good guys, and I highly recommended them as both knowledgeable mechanics and thoughtful human beings.
