I was seen by Dr. Smita Rewari. It was the most pleasant visit to the dentist I have ever had! She made me feel at ease and did a fantastic job with the cleaning. I've found my new dentist for life!

In my last appointment (July 18) I had a very disappointing experience at Floss.

After having a teeth cleaning, a dentist talked to me about the necessity of extraction of my four wisdom teeth and of getting a filling in other two.

I understood that I was getting a simple buccal health advice. To my surprise, and great disappointment, it was not the case. Just after this conversation a member of Floss staff has approached me with several documents to be signed. After, I simply founded out that I was signing papers in which I would get not only these undesirable services, but on the same day!!

The matter is that for three weeks I have been undergoing some dizziness. One week before I went to my physician to get some treatment for such a complicated problem. Since July 16, I´ve got to take an antibiotic (for 14 days). One day before my appointment at Floss, on July 17, I was submitted to a brain MRI in order to identify if I had any injury in that part of my body. At the day of my appointment with Floss, I did not have the result of that exam yet.

I mentioned all this when I had my teeth cleaning.

Your looked like so eager to convince me of the urgency of that treatment. I would be pleased with your concern if I did not tell you about my current health situation. The very dizziness that I have been suffering would prevent me to make any important decision at that day. You did not take into consideration the important information that I was using a medication. I feel that you were trying to impose on me your own urgency of accomplishing that procedure, without paying attention to my own capacity of bear the aftermath of that sort of surgery.

At the end of that appointment I was totally tense without understanding your procedure and methods of work. Suddenly I needed to cancel whatever surgery and other procedures “appointed” with you. Honestly, totally scary, I was in a hurry for leaving your dental office.

Actually, I have never seen a dental surgery in which the patient does not need to make a previous appointment and prepare him/herself to get it. What could my recovering capacity be while I was trying to fight against that so hard dizziness? Would it be possible to combine a new antibiotic to another one (almost 1 mg) that I was already taking?

To finalize that so tragic appointment, after coming back to my house I founded out that you not even had prescribed me a medication to use after the dental cleaning. In other words, not even the service that I was trying to get from you, I did not have reasons for being satisfied. Or better, considering the necessity of some post dental cleaning prescription, I have good reason for being concerned with my buccal health.

To summarize, I understand that your service is not only very bad, but that when I was with you I put my own health in risk. That is why I decline of getting your services again and I do not intend to return to Floss any longer.

all of your personnel are great! my only criticism would be that the music is a bit too loud...but it's only b/c the dentist office makes me nervous anyway.

I've been coming to Floss Dental on 38th St for more than 2 years now. Although Dr. P is no longer there the other physicians who are now there are all very pleasant and friendly. The staff is professional and courteous. The office is always clean and tidy and there is always good music on to distract patients from the horrendous dental tool noises. I know that there are other locations of Floss Dental but I will continue coming back to this location. I have heard from my friends and colleagues that other locations are not as friendly. One thing to note is that the office seems to have high turn over rate of employees. It seems that after Dr. P left the employees are always different in the clinic when I come back every 6 months. Despite the high turnover I have recommended friends and family here.

So easy to get in. The staff was extremely friendly and made the trip absolutely wonderful. I hadn't been to a dentist in many years and they took care of me, getting my teeth all shinny and clean. I can't wait to go back!!!!!!
