The dentist was extremely rough on me during the filling, also stated it would only be 2 fillings snd once he was working on me, he asked if i wanted him to fill more that i was never aware of until then, and i agreed.
Afterwards they mentioned my insurance wouldnt cover it and told me i owed 400 dollars. Very poor practice to never mention the cost owed until after the fact.
Additionally, he had to floss out a mistake he made during the filling and was pressing so hard on my jaw it was sore for 5 days.
When i asked about the bill the dentist told me to call my insurance and ran out of the room. All signs point to him assuming he could get a quick money grab from someone with insurance that wouldnt cover, totally expecting to never see me again.
I still have a few cavaties to be filled, and now judging by how the tooth he worked on feels, a root canal as well.
Id suggest ifnyou are going to him make sure he explains the costs up front before he does anything, and have an ice pack ready for your mouth agter

It's always a positive experience there despite the expense of dental care. Best to take good care of our teeth to keep those expenses at a minimum.

Dr Grapel is very experienced and do surgeries quick and clean. No waiting. The hygienist is so careful and light you can easily fall asleep and wake up with clean teeth
