We had a great experience! We just wish that someone could have mentioned that Luna may have symptoms from her vaccine, as well as letting us know where the injection site was, in order not to bother it.

Dr Knight is caring and helped us navigate a difficult diagnosis for our cat. The technicians have also been caring. The reason the rating is not higher is because we were let down when we most needed help by other members of the team who didn’t collaborate as we expected with the emergency care team, insisting on charging us for a diagnosis that had already been made when all we needed was to draw blood and send a sample.

Dr. Porcelli was very caring and thorough. She listened closely to what I said.

My only complaint has to do with not allowing pet parents into the building. I understood and supported the policy initially but now that we have vaccines and masks I don't see the need. It prevents the owners from comforting their pet. It also eliminates being able to point out something that the animal does, such as a sound they make or a body movement. Would any of the staff just drop their child off at the doctor and not accompany them in?

The doctor was excellent. She really took the time to help me understand my dog’s annual exam and I appreciated the discussion. She never made me feel rushed.

With that said, the reason for the three stars is because this particular visit took an hour and fifteen minutes with me waiting in the car because they don’t allow you inside due to COVID restrictions. I had to call twice to see what was going on. Had I not called I may have been there another 20 minutes. I’ve been going to Fresh Pond Animal Hospital for 21 years and this was the longest wait I ever had. At least the doctor’s informative discussion compensated some for the wait.
