I find it interesting that you continue to send these out, but never make any improvements to the overall quality and cleanliness of your facility. If you are paying people to clean the Total Fitness facility, they need to be fired. Take a look at the TV's. There is so much dust on them that the folks on the treadmills (myself included) are constantly being showered by dirt. Bathrooms are less than sanitary, and there are never any paper towels for drying ones hands after washing them. Many times there is no toilet paper in the commode room. The mechanical and performance of the exercize equipment is poor, as you know. I do hear that new treadmills are coming in January. I do hope so. Management comes and goes in the facility, but never comes to say hello to the many regulars and patrons, nor ask for opinions or state of contentment.
We appreciate these comments and will address them. Since purchasing Total fitness there have been many positive changes in all areas. These changes are slow in coming as there has been a lot of unforeseen expenses such as the air handlers. We will continue to make improvements as funds allow without significant increases in membership rates. All cleaning issues will be addressed with the contract crew owner and a copy of these comments will be given to each staff member. We do not provide paper towels in the men's locker as the majority of them are forced down the commode causing additional unnecessary expense. We do stock paper towels for the women's area and this will be addressed. We invite all members to verbalize and/or leave written comments with the staff for our follow up. The biggest complaint is equipment and ideally we would all like to see a lot more new or updated additions but again, time and money is the only way this will occur. Total Fitness will remain a "work in progress". Additionally, all members are encouraged to use the customer service website for comments - cs@galvestontotalfitness.
