I am very unhappy with my recent visit. My dog Barley was not microchipped when she was spayed. This was the main motivation for even having the operation. When they realized they forgot to do it, they offered to still do it quickly, while she wasn't under anaesthesia. ???This is so sketchy, since it is painful, and they previously recommended it be done while she was under.

Also the price quote given at her annual checkup was far from accurate. Shouldn't a quote include all known expenses? Like aftercare medicine prices and necessities for the operation like a catheter setup?

Further, i haven't given my dog the Bordatella vaccine in 2 years. We never board her and control the other dogs she is around. After dropping Barley off, and reminding the receptionist that she does not have Bordatella, I was reassured that Barley wouldn't be placed with the other boarding dogs. Well that was a lie. Also Barley was given the vaccine without my consent, and it was added to my bill. So now Barley had to deal with adjusting to the after effects of a vaccine along with her spay recovery. She is very sensitive to vaccines and recently had a seizure after having her Rabies shot. I've decided I am not using this vet anymore. The lack of communication and professionalism is disturbing. Unfortunately I believe Garden District Animal Hospital is more concerned about taking my money than taking the best care of my pet.

Everyone who works at GDAH is knowledge, friendly and kind. In my experience they run on time. Usually I have many questions, and they take their time with me to answer each one. I have been very pleased here.

We only came to get a bordatella booster and some flea preventative so our appointment took less than 10 minutes. As always, however, the staff was friendly and welcoming-always giving my girl a treat on her way out. I love this place

One of my elderly cats just had ear surgery for a recurrent problem with ear infections and polyps. Excellent care as always.
