I have never met, nor have I been a patient of Dr. Steven Petit M.D. However, I feel obligated to make this review.

Over two months ago I needed services and care of a Gastroenterologist in an urgent matter. Dr. Petit was highly recommended by a former patient's family, and a non-related Dr. ... Here are my major areas of concern, and disappointments with his practice:

1- Reaching his office by phone is a task by itself. Wait times (on hold) exceeds 15 minutes till someone answers the phone, that is if the call is not disconnected. Two out of four calls were dropped.

2- Even on urgent care matters, the good doctor cannot see patients for over THREE & HALF MONTHS. However, a telephonic visit (Televisit!!!) can be arranged within TWO MONTHS (Month & 21 days to be exact) When I need a doctor, especially in an urgent care matter, I need to be taken care of within a reasonable time, and not three and half months later, or even month and half later with a phone call (Costing several hundred dollars)

I did make an appointment at the time, however, since my medical condition was remedied by other means and avenues, today I cancelled my appointment with the good Dr. ... I will never seek, nor recommend services of this BUSINESS.

First issue: I spent a whole morning calling to get an appointment but kept being put on a waiting spool that was endless, so I finally drove to your office to get my appointment.

Second issue: I was told that I could not have an appointment until I filled some form, and I received the link to the form through an e-mail. After filling the form the site requested a $ 25 fee to process the information.

Third Issue: After speaking to LA Care about the fee the LA Care rep spoke to your office and they finally decided to accept my appointment, but there should be a pre-consultation phone interview.

Result: I went to my primary doctor and requested that they issue a new provider, as your office seemed to be too important to take a patient like me.

Wonderful visit with Dr. Littenberg. He is very thorough and gives me ample time to get my questions answered. I find him to be clinically sound, thoughtful and compassionate. I have great confidence in him as my gastroenterologist.
