This place is by far the MOST unprofessional, poor excuse for a business that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I've been a patron of this establishment for 3 to 4 years and wish I could remember all of the negative experiences. I do remember waiting in the waiting room once and dealing with the most unprofessional receptionists I've ever met. Not only did I watch every single woman there take several smoke breaks in the short amount of time I sat there, but they were having personal conversations with each other and on the phone and when I tried to ask a question about my insurance, they were visibly annoyed that I had interrupted them and were extremely rude. They have screwed up my appointment dates and times. I was also forced to wait WEEKS for my glasses, and when they finally came in, they didn't even call me! I had to call them! Also, the lenses were scratched to all hell to the point that they looked exactly like my old one. So I honestly think I paid all that money, just to have them not even change the lenses. Additionally, they failed to charge both of my insurances despite me giving them both sets of information, then had to argue with the woman to make her understand she had overcharged me. Then I had to wait months to be reimbursed the 25 dollars I could have saved if they'd just been doing their job. Not only would I not recommend this place to anyone, I recommend you avoid it at all costs. Honestly? If it were physically possible to give ZERO stars, I would.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The service that I have received over the past few years has been AWFUL. That's putting it lightly. The female receptionists that work there are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They are obnoxious & terrible at their job. The time I spent in the waiting room, I saw every single one of them leave to take a smoke break, some of them took two. It was unbelievable. They were holding personal conversations with each other and over the phone and when I went to ask a question, they acted like I was interrupting. Not only is the customer service terrible, but the quality of the service is also awful. It took WEEKS to get my glasses, & then when they finally got them, they never even called me. I had to call them and then it took them two days to "find them" and get back to me. When I did finally receive the glasses, the lenses were incredibly scratched and looked like they hadn't even been changed, so I DEFINITELY didn't get what I paid for. Additionally, despite giving the information for both of my insurances, they only used the one and only caught it after I argued with the woman trying to bill me. Then I had to wait months to be reimbursed the 25 dollars they could have simply taken off the first time. I wish I could remember all of the other instances over the past 3 or 4 years that the people at this establishment have utterly failed to do their jobs, but it's been too long. Overall, my experience was less than sub par nearly every time I was forced to go there. I would never recommend this place to anyone, in fact, I recommend that you RUN far, far away from such an unprofessional and awful excuse for a business.

The assistant at the Stanwix office cried during my daughters appointment due to the difficulty of placing the drops in eyes.

When the glasses were picked I had to call Opticare MYSELF, SEVERAL times to clarify the fact that they WOULD cover REPLACEMENT glasses.

The man who orders frames at 4th Ave location threw away the original invoice stating what glasses were picked and ordered the glasses my daughter had worn PREVIOUSLY; WITHOUT notifying me.

The receptionist Jackie is VERY helpful and always patient.

The Dr. at the Stanwix Street location was also very comforting and helpful to my child.

I probably will NOT use the services of Gateway Eyes Associates in the near future due to the issues stated above.

The doctors and staff at Gateway Eye Associates are great!. I personally have seen Dr. Clement on a regular basis for a few years now. He is never in a hurry during your office visit. I wear contacts and glasses, and he works with you to get the best result for both comfort and vision, taking into consideration your work environment and life style. I value his opinion regarding my eye condition. I feel he is always looking for the best possible solution for me, keeping me up to date on the "latest and greatest" in his field.

Dr. Dang was awesome......very thorough and easy to talk too.

Staff was excellent and friendly
