Hi Bob,

Thanks for your comments. Please let us address them. Firstly, the alignment was something you asked us to do. You did not inform us of any issue you wanted us to address, so we did as you asked us to, and did an alignment. When people self-diagnose and do not make clear what the issues are that they are trying to address, it makes it very difficult for us to address the actual problems. That's why we recommend inspections and diagnosis time - to find the actual problems causing the issues you are experiencing. Because tires experience wear, there are wear patterns in your tires from being driven with a poor alignment for some period of time. Many people come in, asking for an alignment immediately before they put new tires on, for the precise reason of not ruining the new tires by wearing them with incorrect wear patterns caused by an improper alignment. If you are driving the vehicle with your old tires, the old wear patterns will continue to pull until you wear new patterns onto the tires. Even with a brand new set of tires, and a brand new car, for that matter, road crown will cause all cars to pull towards the ditch. This is so that, in the event of an accident or loss of control, the vehicles are more likely to go off the road instead of into the on-coming lane of traffic.

Secondly, our invoices are fairly generic because we have a one-price oil change. Whether we put in 5 quarts or 8, for example, our invoices states 5 because that's what we charge for. It also defaults to the 5-30 weight oil because we use a multi-viscosity oil, like every other shop. The multi-viscosity oil was developed because it would obviously be very expensive and space-consuming to stock every factory oil for every vehicle on the market. Instead, we purchase the multi-viscosity oil so that we can offer a one-price oil change at $18.95. If you would like factory specific, Honda 5-20w oil change, we can certainly do that, but the cost of your oil change will change. If you consult your owner's manual, you will find that it states that a 5-30w is perfectly acceptable.

We have no explanation for underinflated tires. Because we check the tire pressures at the time of oil change and while on the alignment rack, they should have been at the correct manufacturer's specifications. Sometimes, however, those are different from what people consider to standard, which is 32 psi. Many are above and below this.

These are the only explanations we can offer since you did not return the car to us, and we were unable to re-inspect it.
