Service was fast and friendly, but I was charged $80 for my contact fitting, even after I said my insurance had a $55 co-pay for fitting. Then, I had to go home and spend 20 minutes trying to get through to the right person at my insurance company, who confirmed my $55 co-pay for contact fitting. Then, I called back to Porter Square Eye, and the person in charge of insurance had left. Now I have to follow up again today. I've wasted an hour of my own time on something that should have been done correctly by Porter Square Eye initially.
I am truly sorry for any inconvenience. We do our best to look up insurances before appointments with the information that is provided to us from patients. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to know each patient?s insurance due to the vast amount of different insurances and different plans within each insurance. We were able to find one insurance plan with the information you provided us and billed you accordingly. Once additional insurance information was provided to us we contacted you to promptly credit you the difference.
