As a retired dental hygienist , I have a clear understanding of proper protocol and procedure for having a crown prepped and seated. Using your assistant with expanded duties is acceptable for some procedures but there are limitations. Having the assistance use her mouth as a third hand while using air in one hand and a mirror for retraction with the other hand, is TOTALLY wrong and unacceptable while trying to take an impression. This occurred twice as her first impression was unacceptable by Dr. Ring. Upon seating the crown I was denied anesthetic as I was told it is their common practice not to administer. To this day I’m still having problems with the crown. The hygienist was also a disappointment, claiming I had 4-5 mm pockets and she could not clean my teeth at that appointment. I came home and probed , remember I’m a hygienist of 30+ years, and couldn’t even get 3-4mm. Needless to say I do not fill that I got great care. Dr Ring was personable but I could not recommend her due to my experience.

So I just moved to St. Louis and within a week I had chipped a tooth eating seafood. I found Julie Ring DDS on Goolemaps. I called them and was delighted to find they could get me in that week. I showed up and the office was so nice and people where so nice. They fixed me up and I was out of there I highly recommend using them.

Had another fine appointment. Karen seems to always remember you even though she sees you only twice a year! Dr. Ring takes her time with you and makes sure any questions you might have are answered.

Dr was excellent !!

Assistant was very, very heavy handed. Was busy chatting

While gouging the suction handle into my gums, lips against my teeth. This was too much to bear for a root canal.

I offered to do the suction myself. She talked real nice. That was it.

My visit was exceptional. The assistant explained everything thing before she did it. My only complaint was I was not informed at the time I made the appointment that it would be necessary to numb the areas of treatment. Since I was scheduled for deep cleaning on both sides upper and lower I chose to to just have one side done at the appointment yesterday and had to make another appointment for the other side because I was very hesitant to have my entire mouth numb.
