Gilsdorf Garage, established in 1950 at Mulberry and Shields Streets, is a family owned and operated independent automotive facility dedicated to serving customers with the personalized service that only an independent can provide.
We take the time to listen to all of your concerns and provide you with expert advice on necessary services and repairs that are appropriate for the circumstances. Over the years, our customers have told us how they appreciate our honesty and integrity, and how we thoroughly explain the step by step diagnostic and repair process on their vehicles. We use only the highest quality parts available through suppliers like NAPA, AC DELCO, CARQUEST, MOTORCRAFT, and original equipment suppliers. The use of quality parts that equal or exceed the original equipment specifications enable us to warrant all of our repairs for 12 months or 12,000 miles, parts and labor.
All of our technicians are ASE certified, and are required to attend formal hi-tech training sessions to keep them current with the fast-moving pace of the new technology found in new vehicles. In 2003, two of our technicians were awarded TOP 10 TECH award by the City of Fort Collins. Your new car warranty remains in effect when you have maufacturer's scheduled maintenance performed at GILSDORF GARAGE.

Michelle, I'm sorry the service was so upsetting, and you won't be returning in the future. The auto repair industry for years has many things that are in common from shop to shop, and dealership to dealership. In our 65 years in business we have found the labor costs for quality technicians doesn't differ much from shop to shop, the parts sourced for repairs comes from a small handful of places that are typically close to similar purchase prices. When we see accusations of "high" prices or even EXTREME differences in one repair quote to ours we typically find that the quotes are not comparing apples to apples, and something maybe left out. We always make a repair quote based on what the worst case scenario could be in the event your car is the worst case scenario, we would much rather our customers be prepared for all scenarios in advance, than explaining why we didn't tell them the repair service could cost more while the car is taken apart. This removes all possibility of a customer feeling like they had no choice, or were unprepared for extent of work. This also and typically allows us to come in under the approved estimate cost sending a customer home with a smile, and knowing that we yet again proved our honesty and integrity. I'm sorry that our 2nd opinion inspection from another facility, and quote didn't work out for you. I hope that the shop your found took care of you.
