1. Checked in but receptionist didn’t understand when I made the appointment for a health exam that I actually expected my pet to physically see the veterinary.
2. I understand things get busy, but no one communicated with us or rest of clients as to why we were delayed, we sat 45 mins.
3. When I made appointment I asked for specific tests, I was never informed the test would be sent out. Had I known, I would have chosen another vet. They took her back to get the blood for send out then brought her to me.., so we waited again for the health exam.
4. One tech noticed we had a stool sample and said she would start working on it. There were several people in the office and she didn’t ask my dogs name. When I told her she was surprised. In my experience you never take a specimen to work on without a name on it.
5. When we finally did see the vet we did not observe the temp being taken or the normal things vets do. She did listen to her with stethoscope. She did not look at her gums.. they are pale and I forget to mention that.
6. In the end when we checked out I was not given a receipt because it was not working. I wish it had because I would have noticed a few issues (a) name misspelled which I would have corrected (b) $5.16 charge to throw away the waste from a fecal test- which I would have gladly taken to the dumps (c) the cost of 6 months of heart guard - I would have asked for a prescription and bought it online
Maybe this was an off day for this crew but I was disappointed .
I did like the open floor plan and staff and vet were nice

From the time you walk into the clinic, your pet is the most important thing there. They are courteous and professional from the receptionist to the veterinarian. I could not be more happier with Golden Heart and will recommend them to anyone who has a fur baby,

I have been taking my dogs here since I moved to Fairbanks 22 years ago. I have never had a bad experience. The doctors and staff here are very attentive and helpful. They always answer every question with patience and kindness.

Dr. May and his staff have taken care of my animals for decades. My most recent visit was just as terrific as they all have been. I trust these folks to do their best for my critters and for me.
