The office canceled an appointment that i booked 6 months in advance. I was unable to reschedule at a time of day that i needed until January unless i was willing to take time out of work. I did not want wait that long between teeth cleanings so I did end up taking time out of work.
When i booked the cleaning, i was not informed that this cleaning would be at my expense. as had used all of my denal insurance I was told after the cleaning that I owed $70.00.
Also, i realized after i left the appointment that the hygienist did not polish my teeth!
Hi Marjorie! We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced due to our hygienist being out due to medical issues. In the current climate it is extremely hard to find workers to fill in last minute positions. We do have a cancellation list that we offer to patients for the next available appointment that opens during their preferred time slot/day, I am sorry this was not offered to you at the time of your call. When all benefits for the year are used with your dental insurance the patient is responsible for any treatment, including cleanings out of pocket. Our office always tries to go above and beyond with estimation of insurance benefits for all of our patients. At the time the treatment is completed which uses the maximum benefit amount for the year the patient is verbally notified that all of their benefits for the year have been used. In addition to this notification by the office an EOB (estimation of benefits) is sent from the insurance company directly to the patients home notifying them directly that all of their benefits have been used. Please let the office know if you have any questions at all and thank you for choosing Gooding Dental Health for all of your dental needs! We look forward to seeing you soon.
