I walked into GFV about a year ago with no experience in martial arts. I can say without a doubt it has been one of the best decisions I have made. The school has amazing instructors and students that help you reach your goals in a welcoming environment.

When I first joined, I wasn't sure what to expect here, if I'd be training with a bunch of meatheads or little kids.

Surprisingly, the guys who teach and train here are some of the most down to earth, genuinely good people I've ever met. If you're new, they'll work you in at your own pace with one on one instruction.

It is an extremely friendly, comfortable environment while still maintaining rigorous, serious training.

The instructors are incredibly talented and I would not want to train anywhere else.

I was unsure of where to start studying martial arts, and I had also been away from martial arts for over twenty years. Needless to say, I was apprehensive. The thirty day free program was hard to turn up, so I took it. I was glad I did. Unlike other gyms and dojos, I was immediately welcomed by some of the best instructors in the area. Instead of waiting the full thirty days, I signed up immediately, and have been studying there since. I would strongly recommend this business to anyone, but especially folks who are thinking of getting back into it later in life.

Jay Bell is an amazing coach, you can not go wrong studying at Gracie Farmington Valley. I have been training there for a year now and it has changed my life! If you are reading this review chances are you have thought about training. DO IT! I started at 41. I wish I started sooner. Kay Bell is the real deal.

I really love training at GFV. The instructors are top notch and really care about their students. They know a lot about their different styles are very good at teaching. There's an exciting atmosphere and a really good group of students as well. And their new fitness center will kick your butt almost as much as the martial arts you can practice on the mats!

Excellent training facility. Staff is friendly and adjusts training based on the students level of knowledge. Very welcoming environment. I highly recommend them!

Absolutlely the best BJJ training around. The owner, Jay, and the other upper belts are great teachers and a great group.

I started at GFV with no grappling experience whatsoever - Totally new to JiuJitsu. Jay Bell and the guys at GFV were and are the most welcoming crew. What a great environment!

The more experienced guys are glad to help a newer guy with techniques and advice. There is just no way to feel "left out" here.

Jay is an excellent, knowledgeable instructor, and you can plan on lots of hands-on mat time.

I cant say enough good things about my experience at GFV. FIVE STARS! Thanks Jay!
