More than a little disappointed that your techs overtightened my fuel filter cover and I was charged for a new cover/cap when they had to air hammer the old one off. After I reminded Your staff that they were the last to switch the filters, labor was taken off. However, I should not have had to pay for a $126 cover since it was your techs fault I. Likely my last trip ever.
I apologize for the misunderstanding we had with you. When you stopped by the week before I found the cap was put on WAY to tight. I was worried that we may damage or break the cap removing it. We both agreed that it made more sense for you to take the truck and bring it back when we had a replacement cap. It was Friday afternoon and if the cap broke you would be without the truck for the weekend.
I had one of my guys order a new cap and when you came back for us to install it he completed the repair for you. The miscommunication was totally on my part. I planned to take care of the new cap and the labor along with installing your new filter. I poorly communicated this to my service writer and he charged you. I will give you a call shortly and we refund what you paid. This is what I had told you I would do when you first brought the truck in and explained that you were unable to remove the filter we installed.
