I was married, several hundred years ago, to a horse vet. He happened to be a genius and taught me as much as he could. When I go into a new office with my dog(s) I am on the lookout for several things; rapport with and love for the dog, professionalism, courtesy, and so on. The most important thing I look for is the thing that can't be described. It is a sixth sense of some kind that a practitioner either has or doesn't that intuit what to do, of course this comes from much experience. I have dealt with three Veterinarians in Greenwich Village Animal Hospital, each of whom has this gift. I drive up from New Jersey to use their service and feel confident every time I do. The office staff are also impressive, especially when a long explanation of some weird noise my Bulldog is making frightens me in the middle of the night, and I get a reassuring answer on the phone. I highly recommend this service.
