Griffin's Transmission Service has been serving the Triangle area since 1992! Dependable quality and excellent auto service is our trademark; great value and honest answers are our reputation.
Transmission failure is often the result of neglect to service the transmission on a regular basis. This is why we spend so much time advising our customers how important it is to perform regular transmission fluid services and have it checked by a transmission professional.
There are many shops that can perform a transmission service, but only a transmission specialist will be trained to spot the signs of possible problems and head them off early! In fact many of our customers are happy to say, we were able to get their transmission back on the road with small repairs rather than an overhaul!

Replaced idol valve and did not have a problem with idol when I left the van to have transmission leak fixed. When I got the van back the idol was too fast. Returned the van back and was told the hoses were dry rotted. After the hoses were replaced the van worked fine. If anything, the hoses were the problem in the first place and should have been noticed before the valve was replaced. Had to pay over $425 for the repair. Makes me wonder if the repair for the exhaust system was worth over $800. They quoted $525 for tune up but I had enough sense to get it done somewhere else - got the tune up for $290, big difference. This lesson cost me!

Once again I am overwhelmed with the great service at Griffin's. I run a Town Car service to RDU and had noticed a miss at high speeds. I went directly to Griffin's from a morning run to RDU. I arrived their at about 6 AM, knowing they open at 8. At 7 Don was tapping on my window ready to go to work. We took a test drive, he found the problem and one of his mechanics was hard at work at 8 to give me a tuneup. I was out of there at 9:30 and the car runs great. All for a reasonable price.
