Great experience. It was my first time EVER using a groomer so I was nervous leaving my fur baby. He is a long hair cat and had many knots in his fur that I was unable to brush out. The woman I talked to was calming, very knowledgeable and professional. She assured me he would be fine.
I have never had a problem for the past 6 years my Allie has been going...yesterday was a whole different story. Our appointment was for 8am (booked many months ago) - she was not ready until after 11am. When I asked why it took so long she informed me that she was doubled booked. I don't see how that happened??? Also, I am not happy with how her grooming came out! Looking at her I have noticed that of course it was a rush job. I hope this was only a one time thing...I will try again in hopes this doesn't happen again...if it does I will be looking for a new groomer for my Allie
We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy about Allie?s last grooming. For any grooming appointment, no matter what the size or temperament of a dog is, we do ask for 3 to 5 hours for a complete groom. This has been written as one of our policies since we have opened, has been on the blackboard for the last 2 plus years, and can also be found on the back of every appointment card. Although we were short staffed on the busiest day of the week, we still managed to have her done in three hours. Sometimes pets will be finished before this time frame, but it is not something that can be guaranteed every single visit unless an express grooming is booked. At first, the complaint was about how long the grooming took, and then it transitioned to a complaint about her haircut being rushed. We are not entirely sure how we managed to do that.
As we all know, Allie is not the nicest to her groomers. She has had 2 different groomers since coming to us. Both of them have worked with her knowing that if she is not muzzled for the entire process, she will not hesitate to bite them. This can be problematic when it comes to giving her a haircut around her face, since the muzzle must come off for that portion of the grooming. After her last groomer pursued another animal related career, we had one person left who was willing to work with her knowing how much of a safety risk she can be. The groomers definitely do their best despite knowing that she can be a liability. We do not have any other groomers in our shop that would be willing to take her on knowing that they may very well be injured if and when she is not muzzled. Typically handling fees are charged with pets like her, but we have kept her grooming price low and have yet to charge a fee like this because you had been such a long time client.
Unfortunately, at this point we do agree with you and it is our recommendation that a new groomer is found for Allie.
Great service and very nice people! My dog loves going for grooming
