We are a family owned and operated local alarm company servicing Volusia and Flagler counties since 1975.
Back when our founder moved to Ormond Beach as a kid in 1947, there was not much need for a security company. You never locked your doors for fear that maybe a family member or friend would not be able to come in if needed or maybe you just lost the key and never got around to having another one made.
Sadly, that is not the way it is today. Not only do you need to lock your doors and windows to keep your family safe, you also need to protect your belongings when you're not home. That's where Guardian Security can help your family regain that old fashioned peace of mind of the yesterdays.
We take pride on being the leading security company in Volusia and Flagler County since 1975. Continuing to stay on the leading edge of technology by bringing the community the best the industry has to offer year after year. We do all of this while retaining the small town way of doing business.
We at Guardian Security know that our clients are not just clients, they are our friends or a friend of a friend, as that is often the way it is when you operate a business in the same town that you were born and raised in. It kind of "keeps us on our toes", you might say.

We signed an agreement to have 36 cameras installed at a cost of over $50k for a troubled rental community in Daytona Beach in early July and at that time we paid a 50% deposit. We were told the project would take 90 days in reality it took until mid February to complete. During the entire project follow up and communication from Guardian was sketchy at best. During the additional 5 month delay the property suffered several criminal incidents and a couple of questionable trip and falls that these cameras would've given definitive evidence. Part of the delay was due to the equipment we were sold had become unavailable or was not really functional for our needs and I was told that Guardian provided us with an upgrade in equipment for our inconvenience, which we ended paying more for that the original agreement. I asked for some consideration on this and was told NO, I feel I could've taken this to civil court but seeing as I was already out of pocket over $30k and the property was continuing to suffer I chose not. Even to this day we need Guardian to return to the site and make some adjustments to the installed cameras which has been paid in full for and their response is lack luster. I actually have three other apartment communities that we are wanting to set cameras on as we have found the cameras effective in curbing negative activity I will not be asking Guardian to provide quotes for and I would not refer them to other communities. A $50,000 contract must be to small for them to be of great concern given the service we received and continue to receive.
The above communication is true and false in many ways however I?ll say this, Guardian Security has been in business for 40 years and it definitely didn't get there by doing business in the way described. Rick was hard to get a hold of at one point it took my guy a month to get a hold of him so delays weren't due to just Guardian if were being straight forward here. Yes we took way longer than expected as these parts were custom built and the distributor beat us out of our product which isn?t the customers fault but we all know the one spoke out of whack and it ruins the entire wheel statement so we then reordered product from our other supplier once we have determined the other provider had no intention of sending us our product and money which is still being dealt with. The new product in fact cost Guardian Security more than expected but good business says eat it and move on which we did at this point it?s the least we could do. As Rick started looking into internet at each pole which was to be provided by him he said it would cost too much monthly so we then put a quote together for more parts to make the system wireless entirely not needing internet at each pole any more costing well over a thousand dollars a month! This being said we actually saved him thousands in the long run which in turn cost more for parts to make this work. Rick felt as if we should give him a kick back on the price due to the fact it wasn't done in the required time however I kept the same price as agreed and gave 3 mega pixel cameras at the same cost as 700 TVL analog cameras as well as fix their internet on site for countless hours when their own I.T. guy couldn't just so there office could keep doing their work. We also were kicked off the property daily at 3:30 as the office employees didn't want to stay late so our schedule was also limited as we needed the office to program all the camera settings as we went. It was told to us by the office employees the footage they were referring to not being able to use due to incidents that happened and we couldn't finish, that they didn't want the footage as it was an insurance agent walking the property who fell and they would be possibly liable so they were thankful to hear we couldn?t give them the footage. All in all I'm not happy with how the job went either and clarified this to them and did the best we could do as a company to rectify the issues at hand. Given the time it took to finish the job we were further out then expected but I?d say the quality they ended up with would far make up for it as what they were going to get for the same price. Furthermore had an honest person written this review it would have been a lot different in the way of accuracy? Seems as if Rick is disgruntled on not getting the kick back he wanted.
