GW Eye Associates delivers outstanding professional eye care. Dr. Wong uses state-of-the-art equipment and has incredible knowledge of the eye. Best of all, Dr. Wong takes the time and care to talk to his patients about our eye conditions; he is an educator, a mentor and a healer.

I have tried being patient with this office but have to be honest. I would never recommend GW Eye Associates nor do I see myself wanting to use them for my eye needs in the future. I was in on July 5th. I thought the office girls were super sweet but I had to dissect my insurance even more than I ever have with an eye doctor so a little more assistance there as far as what is covered would be recommended. No one offered to show me glasses options either. The Doctor gave me contact samples of -1.75 for my left eye and -2 for my right eye. He said we could finalize my contact prescription based on the sample being a good fit but that glasses would be my best bet. Since no one offered to help with my glasses, I just called back three days later and asked them to order my contacts for the $200 allotment from my insurance. My prescription was wrong and it was suggested that I just take the -1.75 for both eyes. I understand the -.25 not being significant, but in the medical world, I trust doctors will get my prescription right and if they get it wrong it should be made right and I shouldn't need to settle for less than my ideal prescription. I wish I could cancel altogether, find a new reputable eye doctor, and get my correct prescription. Unfortunately, you only get one allowance a year and I am sooo frustrated I haven't been able to try wearing contacts daily all because the office is trying to be sure they do not experience a loss for their error in ordering. If I managed this office I would have expedited the correct perscription and taken the loss in hopes of retaining a customer and getting referrals. Clearly the motiviations in the office are to save money instead of make the situation better. I am going to call my insurance to see if I can return the contacts and get a new appointment with a better office if this is not made right ASAP. The beginning encounter was also weird as the assistant said she was using the new technology per the doctor's request and not dilating my eyes, then the doctor did dilated my eyes right before I left and then never looked at them because his assistant already used the high-tech equipment. Every other time I have been to the eye doctor they dilate my eyes first thing so that it is starting to wear off by the time I leave. I was extremely sensitive to light and think that should be done at the beginning of the appointment for less of an inconvenience,

I have been to a few optometrists over the years but I decided to make a change when I recently experienced a vision change. Dr. Wong is extremely thorough and he and his staff are knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. It is a much better experience than one would expect for a medical visit of any kind. I highly recommend GW Eye Associates.
