I'd like to first start by saying the massage was excellent, Alberto techniques and pressure was perfect. I really enjoyed my massage but I left feeling confused and a little bit cheated.

When I booked the massage, I was fortunate to be apart of the $79 pricing as a first time customer. When I arrived to my massage I was told it was a 50 minute massage and I may have misread the AD but I was under the impression it would be an hour. Second and most important, there wasn't enough Hot Stone. For a place that specialize in hot stone it wasn't nearly used in the massage. Hot stone is my favorite form of massage and I'm happy to pay $$$ for the luxury, however I didn't feel like I got my money's worth. Finally, when I was checking out there was a sign that was next to the front desk that said first massage $49 (I believe that was the price, I just remember it was cheaper than the $79 I was paying) and it said clearly, it was 1 hour. It felt very annoying/confusing to pay a higher rate and a shorter time when there is your sign that says differently.

I'm indifferent on whether or not to return to Hand and Stone, I feel like I can could get more for the same price at other spas or I'd rather pay more for Hot Stone massage where the stones will actually be used more. Alberto was fantastic and I will say he did a great job of elevating some of my tension, He was very professional and had great pressure.

After a long day of work, coming to Hand and Stone is the best thing to do. I felt pampered and relaxed. Highly recommend Hand and Stone in Thousand Oaks!

The location is nice and clean. Heated tables are nice. The normal price is closer to the price of a spa, and this isn't a spa. The discounted price is still a little high for a 50 minute massage, plus all of the ads ons are a little ridiculous. I did the peppermint scalp massage add on and all it was is an essential oil massaged into my scalp for maybe 1 1/2 minutes for $15. The massage itself was mediocre-the therapist didn't listen to my requests, even though we discussed them and she repeated them back to me before the massage. Also, on the back she only used her forearm and elbow-that's not what I look for with a massage.

I had a facial afterwards and that was a much better experience.
