I recently had a massage for the first time at this spa. I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. To start, the headrest on my table was slightly angling upwards when I was facing down on the massage table. I had asked the therapist to adjust it however, I was told it was already at the lowest setting. It was very uncomfortable and my neck is still hurting from being in that position.
To make matters worse, I'm not sure if the therapist I had was an actual registered therapist. What I received from him was a massage of the bones and not my muscles. At one point, the therapist was massaging my neck while I was face up and he actually gave me a kink in my neck while "massaging" it. I had to stop him as I started to experience even more discomfort.
When he got to my arms, to my surprise, it was just as bad as the rest of my massage. I honestly could have done a better job on my own arms myself.
A couple recommendations I would give is to double check this therapist's credentials and even if he is actually registered then you might want to send him back to massage school. I've had massages every month for about 2 years now and this is hands down the worst I have ever experienced.
I'm giving this location a 1 rating because I feel that they are ultimately responsible for my horrible experience. The therapists they hire should be checked out whether that means the owner getting massages from their newly hired therapists to confirm if the therapist actually knows what they are doing.
My husband Steve also had a massage and had a completely different experience. His therapist actually knew what she was doing. With that being said, I maybe would recommend this spa but definitely not the therapist I had.
