READ FOR YOUR GOOD (NEW TRICK) My visit with Dr Rowe for contact lenses was very surprising and very unfair and unprofessional. They put me through 2 different screenings and then with Dr. Rowe, My insurance paid for the visit, but when I got to the counter I was told that I had to pay $250 for a "Contact Fitting session" appointment and if you don't pay the $250, they will NOT give you a copy of your lens prescription. I told the girl that this was never relayed to me before the visit, of course not, especially if they stand to make that chunk of change. AND then she said the visit would include fitting of disposable lenses which I never indicated I wanted. It made sense though, F you for $250 and then he chooses your lenses, and of course disposables will put more money in his pocket, now that's a WIN WIN for Dr. Rowe! F the patient. He has to pay off that nice white Porsche with your help! Don't be taken, my insurance was! It;s almost like you have get a written, signed document of procedures and costs,
I am sorry that you feel the services that we provided did not meet your needs. unfortunately, many insurance plans such as yours provide very limited to no coverage for the fitting of contact lenses. Policies state "The member's actual out-of-pocket may vary depending on coinsurance, deductibles and other factors". A review of ones benefits prior to going to any office helps in understanding what is and is not covered. Additionally, all plans have contact numbers to discuss any concerns that you may have prior to seeking care. We are happy to try and help you with any financial responsibilities that you may incur and will work with you to pay over time if that helps.
