I had to wait for 30 minutes past my appointment time to be called back to an examination room.No one in the front lobby area spoke with me about the delay, until I went up to the front desk and asked about it. The receptionist said that they had no room to put me in. The most ridiculous thing that she said to me was, "Would you like to reschedule your appointment? I live a 30 minute drive away and had already waited 30 minutes to see the doctor for a follow up appointment, after wearing a walking boot for 3 weeks.
The person that finally called me back didn't apologize for the delay and when I spoke to her about it, she didn't care and actually shrugged her shoulders. I spoke with the doctor about my wait, and he seemed very overwhelmed. All he mentioned was that they were training new employees and that it was hard to hire people. I told him that he should schedule his appointments farther apart, so that patients aren't waiting so long. His employees should be trained to speak with patients who are waiting over 15 minutes and apologize to them.
