My appointment with the newer vet, Dr. Beatrice V was very disappointing. I realized Dr. Kimball is no longer at your practice but her "bedside" manner was great. She would get down on the floor with my dog and thoroughly examine her and explain everything along the way. This newer vet, felt rushed, did not engage that well with my dog, barely examined my dog's mouth and teeth and her hands on examination took about 10 seconds. So for this reason alone I would not go back to her.
But the final insult was when she was finished with my dog and wanted to have the vet tech come back in the room with the immunizations, she called the vet tech her "nurse".
First of all, an educated person as herself should definitely know the difference between a vet tech and a nurse. "Nurses" is not a term to be used as all encompassing umbrella term for staff in various assisting roles. As a nurse myself, who had spent 4 years of intensive training to obtain my license, I was highly insulted.
Since I have never had a bad experience at Heartfelt before, I will come back again but will ask to be assigned to a different vet.
Hopefully proper training can be provided to Dr. V.
