Humble Beginnings

Started as Hedgewood Tree Service in 2004, it didn't take us long to notice the true lack of professional tree care in the area. After several years of refining our focus we are pleased to say that we changed the name to Hedgewood Tree Care.

Hedgewood Tree Care is now one of the few companies in the Tri-cities area specializing in the proper care of trees and shrubs and one of only two licensed to do any type of treatment.

Why such and interest in trees?

Let's just say that the love of trees has always been a part of our the family. From my grandfather that grafted fruit trees starting in the early 1920's, to my father a biology teacher of 31 years at a local high school, on to myself a certified arborist and finally my sons who seem to enjoy every minute they are suspended by them. Trees are a truly renewable resource that do so much to make our lives better. Air to breath, shade from the hot summer sun, warmth in the winter, food and drink in the form of fruits and nuts, lumber for our homes and an unequaled way of calling our children to unplug from the digital world and reconnect with nature, it's just hard not to have a love for trees!
