I'm usually very happy with the service I receive here, however; I was frustrated with how my last visit went. After discovering my new dental insurance does not cover periodontal maintenance, I told the office I would like a "regular cleaning" on this visit instead of the periodontal maintenance. I came in for the appointment and instead of doing the regular cleaning as I had asked they kind of beat around the bush giving relatively vague answers on the actual difference between a regular cleaning and periodontal maintenance, poked at my gums, and said I should really be doing the periodontal maintenance as scheduled. I then had to re-explain my insurance situation, and hold my ground really, for them to ultimately conclude that they would in fact do a regular cleaning but I would have to take off work again and come back 3 weeks later, as there was no longer time to do a cleaning as there was too much time spent trying to sell me on the mysterious "periodontal maintenance"; i.e. Which would cost me $150 out of pocket vs. $100 for regular cleaning which my insurance would cover.
