The vets and staff have always been great since I started bringing my fur baby to High Ridge Animal Hospital. My recent visit with Dr. Murphy was good, and she took the time to explain the situation with my dog’s issue and to apologize for the wait to be seen which I appreciate. I did ask for Titer testing to check antibodies ahead of my baby’s Distemper/Parvo vaccine and although I know it’s not common for client’s to request this and vet’s usually don’t agree with titer testing versus just giving additional vaccines, I really appreciate that Dr. Murphy was willing to take the blood to send out for it. The price was higher (more than double) than other friend’s I know, who also request it for their pets, get charged through other vets, which seems strange, but Dr. Murphy was nice to have staff call me beforehand to tell me the price. Other than this practice having higher prices on services than others, I would recommend High Ridge Animal Hospital for care for pets over others. I’ve seen 3 different veterinarians there with my dog, and they all have been patient, thorough and understanding. I’d rather pay more for great care than sacrifice good care for my little love. I had a horrific experience at another veterinarian practice in Stamford which led to my losing my last dog at only 3 years old, so it’s very important to me to bring my dog now to a place where I feel the vets and staff truly care and are more conservative rather than unnecessarily over-vaccinating and over-prescribing to pets.
