Holistic Veterinary Care was founded in 2010 as a referral center for pet owners seeking alternative treatment modalities and rehabilitation therapy for their pets. Our goal is to provide personalized client care in a relaxing environment, while specializing in acupuncture, chiropractic, rehabilitation therapy, and animal wellness consultations. We strive to stay on the cutting edge of veterinary care with treatments such hyperbaric oxygen therapy, pulse signal therapy treatments, and stem cell therapy.
Dr. Richter and his wife Lee developed this practice as a place to blend their passion for alternative health care with their already successful veterinary practice, Montclair Veterinary Hospital. Holistic Veterinary Care works in conjunction with other veterinary practices to provide services that may not be available at traditional clinics. Our clinic's design employs state of the art aesthetics combined with green technology to promote highest efficiency and less waste.
After four years of business, Holistic Veterinary Care continues to grow its practice and build its clientele through our excellent customer service and commitment to proficient media strategies. Our team is committed to continually learning the best ways to reach new clients and provide the best treatments available. We seek to make every client and their pet feel like part of the family, and constantly update our social media pages with pictures of the pets that come to HVC, as well as their stories.
Holistic Veterinary Care is available to anyone seeking alternative therapy for their pets such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, and rehabilitative therapy for pets recovering from injuries or surgery. We also specialize in Chinese herbs and whole food glandular supplements. We carry many over the counter supplements for pets such as non-toxic flea treatments and glucosamine supplements. We work together with our clients to customize treatment plans based on their pet's individual needs.

The service is very thoughtful and thorough, and the space is beautiful. In my humble opinion, this shop could be the best one in the east bay, but right now they are only 80% of the way there. The decor is cool, sleek, and modern. The selection of frames is current and well varied. The only aspect that detracts from this great start is that the examination spaces and the 'back of house' counters, etc. are somewhat cluttered and seem a little disorganized.
