I was extremely disappointed in my visit to Hometown a few days ago. The front desk staff were friendly and the vet tech I worked with was fantastic, but I was totally let down with Dr. Plunkett. I recently moved to this area and so when my dog became due for her annual and Proheart I started researching for a new vet clinic to call home. When Dr. Plunkett came into the exam room I stood up to greet him and shake his hand. He never introduced himself or extended a hand. He simply said ok let's get these shots in. He did them 1,2,3 and was getting ready to leave the room when I asked a question and he responded with yea I'll get the girl to check those. And left! He didn't ask a single thing about my dog, he didn't feel her over to check her fitness or for anything unusual. He didn't listen to her chest or ask about arthritis since she is 10 years old, I mean literally asked NOTHING. He was in the room under three minutes. Maybe we have been extremely blessed by our previous veterinarians but my expectations were for a lot more than we got. We won't be back, but hopefully this will encourage you to do more for the next client that comes along because the rest of the staff was really doing their part.
